I was about 4 years old when I saw a movie in a cinema hall for the first time. Strangely, what I saw and felt that evening between strangers in the dark has always been a part of me. Perhaps a part that only grows when I watch good cinema, and helps me evolve as an artist and as a person.

I am Omkar. I write, I shoot, I direct, I edit and sometimes, I sing.  

​

I shoot for fiction, documentaries, travel shows, commercials, and music videos.
I direct for commercials, fiction, and documentaries. 

In 2023, I made my first short film which has got a warm reception wherever it has traveled.

The past decade of my career has seen a few achievements that include directing and shooting a film that won a Ramnath Goenka award, having a full house at MAMI for my first short film, shooting for a film that went on to win at Sundance, and having a film cross 2M views within a week.

This is where I've come so far and I want to go further in this journey to write, direct, and shoot films to remember.
